We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our Bizzi Day team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children within our nursery setting. This role requires a compassionate approach, strong management skills, and the ability to foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. The Nursery Practitioner will play a vital role in supporting children's growth, organising activities, and working collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
Duties
Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children
Supervise children at all times ensuring their safety and well-being
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through personalised care programmes
Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and positive interactions among children
Assist in organising nursery events and outings in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Contribute to the overall organisation of the nursery environment to ensure it remains welcoming, safe, and stimulating
Support new staff members through mentoring and sharing best practices in childcare management
Requirements
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment
Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play
Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification) are preferred
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies when necessary
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities
Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children's growth and development

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
