Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our care.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining effective communication at all times. Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to support their individual development plans. Support the management team in maintaining a high standard of nursery practice, including health and safety compliance. Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff members, demonstrating strong leadership skills within the nursery setting. Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma). Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Demonstrated management and leadership abilities to support the nursery team effectively. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate travel if required for nursery activities or outings. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in early childhood education.
