Beeches Park Day Nursery

We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who's ready to make a real difference -- creating magical moments, inspiring young minds, and helping every child feel supported as they learn and grow.

Role Purpose



As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll be part of a passionate team that brings learning to life every day. You'll help create a space where children feel happy, confident, and eager to explore the world around them.

From sparking curiosity through creative play to supporting children's emotional wellbeing, your role will be all about nurturing each child's potential while working closely with your team and families to provide the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities



Children's Learning & Development



Deliver inspiring, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework and The DEN's values. Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and creativity. Observe, assess, and record each child's progress -- celebrating achievements and supporting next steps. Ensure every child feels included, valued, and supported in their individual journey.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing



Create and maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors. Follow

policies with care and consistency. Promote positive behaviour, empathy, and respect among children. Support children's emotional wellbeing, helping them to feel secure and confident.

Teamwork & Collaboration



Work closely with your colleagues to deliver outstanding care and education. Share ideas and contribute to a fun, supportive team culture. Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and parents. Offer flexibility and teamwork by supporting across rooms when needed.

Parent Partnership & Communication



Build warm, trusting relationships with parents and carers. Share updates on children's learning, wellbeing, and daily experiences. Get involved in nursery events, open days, and family engagement activities that strengthen our community.

Skills & ExperienceEssential



Level 2 or Level 3 qualification

in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent). A genuine passion for helping young children learn, grow, and thrive. Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. A caring, professional approach and commitment to providing a safe, inspiring environment.

We have both part-time and full time roles available. Part-time hours for this role will be between our opening hours of 7.30am-6pm. Unfortunately part-time school hours will not be considered for this role.
