Our pre-school provision is looking to appoint an experienced childcare practitioner and a room leader.
Main Responsibilities and duty of care
Take responsibility for ensuring policies and procedures are in place to meet the welfare requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
To ensure the Pre-School environment meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development;
Develop a stimulating and purposeful learning environment for all children to enjoy.
To raise standards and introduce new initiatives.
To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring Pre-School policies and procedures are observed at all times.
Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members; informing them of their children's progress and encouraging them to be involved in their children's learning
The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child's stage of development
To supervise and assist at mealtimes, and ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing

To ensure all policies are upheld .
To maintain a record of achievement file on your key children, for parents/carers;
To be flexible within working practices of the Pre-School. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs with the Pre-School, e.g. Preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.;
Look upon the Pre-School as a "whole" where your help can be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children;
To ensure that all records are kept confidential relating to data protection of the children, their families and members of staff.

Must be trained in safeguarding children and child protection (candidate will also be required to meet our guidelines for safer recruitment, including a DBS check)
Level 3 qualification is ESSENTIAL .
