We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their early development and learning. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to implement educational programmes, foster children's social skills, and ensure their well-being is prioritised at all times.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with regulatory standards.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Ensure the nursery environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
Support children with behavioural management in a caring and constructive manner.
Assist with organising outings and transporting children when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Uphold all policies related to safeguarding, health & safety, and child protection.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Level 3 Childcare qualification.
Valid driving licence is preferred.
