Nursery Practitioner - Full Time

Location: Bath, Somerset

Salary: Up to 27,500 per year

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, between 7:30am - 6:30pm)

Little Willows Day Nursery (Bath) is a private day nursery offering high-quality childcare and education for children aged 0-5 years. We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly and professional team.

About the Role

Childcare & Education

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's development across the EYFS.

Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using this information to plan next steps.

Create a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and a lifelong love of learning.

Health, Safety & Safeguarding

Ensure all children are safe, supervised, and their individual needs are met.

Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with health and safety standards.

Administer first aid when required and record any accidents or incidents appropriately.

Teamwork and Professionalism

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding care and education.

Attend staff meetings and training to support continuous improvement.

Uphold all nursery policies, including equality, inclusion, and confidentiality.

Reflect on your own practice and take initiative in professional development.

Carry out other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Personal Specification

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).

A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.

A positive, caring, and proactive attitude.

Good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
(Experience in a private nursery or early years setting is desirable but not essential.)
