We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Support children's emotional needs, encouraging confidence and independence.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and consistency in care routines.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Assist with organising outings, events, and special activities to enrich the children's nursery experience.
Uphold health and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the organisation of the nursery environment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and stimulating.
Requirements
Previous nursery experience or early childhood education qualification is highly desirable.
Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
Good organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently.
Ability to work as part of a team while also showing initiative independently.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or travelling between sites if required.
