Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
Provide high-quality care and supervision for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a structured environment.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all children.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is welcoming and conducive to learning.
Engage with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns they may have.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with young children is essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated experience in managing groups of children within a nursery or childcare setting.
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and fellow staff members.
A genuine drive to support children's learning through play-based activities.
Familiarity with nursery routines and practices that promote child welfare is highly desirable.
