We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
Supervise and support children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods to ensure their safety and wellbeing
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and development milestones
Foster strong communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-organised in compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist in organising daily routines and activities to encourage independence and confidence among children
Support team members through effective management and leadership practices to ensure high standards of childcare are maintained
Occasionally drive nursery vehicles for outings or transporting children when required
Skills
Proven experience with children in a nursery or childcare setting, demonstrating strong childcare knowledge
Excellent management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations effectively
Strong communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning while ensuring safety at all times
Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education credentials are desirable
Driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending external activities
