Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our brand new nursery opened in June 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage parent concerns will be essential in fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery setting. Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's development. Manage daily routines, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on best practices in childcare. Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement in early years education.

Requirements

Relevant level3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Ability to manage behaviour effectively while promoting positive interactions among children. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and encourage teamwork within the nursery environment. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through play-based learning. A drive to stay updated on best practices within early years education.
