We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children in our care. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and learning of each child while ensuring their safety and happiness.
Duties
Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Plan and implement engaging activities that cater to the individual needs of each child, promoting learning through play.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development and communicating findings with parents and colleagues.
Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports diversity and equality.
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and families to encourage their involvement in nursery activities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations regarding childcare standards.
Skills
Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings is essential, demonstrating a solid understanding of early childhood education principles.
Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide a team of practitioners while fostering a positive working environment.
Excellent communication skills in English to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
A genuine passion for working with children along with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required.
Knowledge of child development theories and practices is advantageous, alongside relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare.
