We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Organise and participate in parent meetings and community events as required
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety regulations
Support children's individual needs, including behavioural management and personalised learning plans
Assist with administrative tasks related to child records and activity planning
Skills
Proven experience with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with parents and colleagues
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development
Compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanour with a genuine passion for childcare
Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as needed
