We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of highly skilled practitioners in providing the highest quality of care and education within our nursery setting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
To be fully aware of and uphold the legal requirements set out by the most recent EYFS statutory framework at all times.
To understand, implement and adhere to the nursery's policies and procedures at all times
Operate a program of activities suitable to the age range of children in your care in conjunction with other staff in line with children's individual needs and interests
To keep an official record of achievement file on your key children for parents
Work with parents of special needs children to give full integration into the nursery
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
Liaise and support parents and other family members.
To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, Christmas party etc. Be flexible within working practices and be prepared to help out where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc
To develop your role within the team, especially with regard to your key person responsibilities. Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled
To respect the confidentiality of information received.
To provide a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from different cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development.
To be proactive in safeguarding all children at all times.
The right applicant :
Must hold a relevant Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification
Have a secure knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how to promote individual development through partnership working with parents and other professionals
Have an awareness of safeguarding procedures.
Have experience of a key worker role
A paediatric first aid certificate is desirable.
A DBS will be required for this position and satisfactory references.
