Duties
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early learning and development
Supervise children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages children's social and emotional growth
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment and share best practices
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Assist with organising nursery events and activities to enhance children's learning experiences
Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff or volunteers effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
Childcare experience including nursery experience is highly desirable
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
