Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through play and educational activities.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering effective communication. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Skills

Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Proven experience with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting children or attending off-site activities. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
