We are looking for a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will support children's learning, development, and wellbeing by creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare & Learning
Provide high-quality care and supervision to children aged 0-5.
Support children's development in line with the EYFS framework.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
Track and record children's progress, observations, and next steps.
Ensure children's physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Safeguarding & Safety
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
Complete daily health & safety checks and risk assessments.
Follow all nursery policies and Ofsted guidelines.
Communication & Teamwork
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Communicate effectively with families about their child's day and progress.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support the Room Leader.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and development workshops.
General Duties
Support with feeding, toileting, and personal care routines.
Set up and tidy away resources and equipment.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere.
RequirementsQualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification (or working towards).
Paediatric First Aid (preferred).
Safeguarding training (preferred).
Skills & Attributes:
Passionate about working with young children.
Friendly, patient, and nurturing personality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to use initiative and follow instructions.
Understanding of the EYFS framework.
