We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic LEVEL 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and childcare, with a focus on creating a safe, engaging, and educational setting for young learners. The role requires excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
The right candidate will be part of a staff team and will be included in staff appreciation meals.
We strive for a home life balance and can be flexible with hours. We are closed for Xmas Eve and a week at Xmas.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times.
Support children's emotional needs by providing comfort, reassurance, and encouragement.
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues to support individual development plans.
Collaborate with team members to implement curriculum plans and organise daily routines effectively.
Lead by example in demonstrating positive behaviour management techniques and fostering inclusive practices.
Assist with administrative tasks related to child records, attendance, and communication with families.
Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the team through training sessions and shared best practices.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting is preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Childcare qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred.
A caring attitude with genuine enthusiasm for supporting children's growth and learning.
Ability to work as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative independently.
