We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, rest periods, and organised activities to ensure safety at all times.
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs and developmental goals.
Assist with the organisation of nursery routines, including snack times, outings, and special events.
Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring the nursery environment remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes by sharing ideas and best practices.
Skills
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and compassionately.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development milestones.
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Good driving skills are desirable for organising outings or transporting children when required.
