Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Moorends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play and support children's development across all areas. Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations. Work collaboratively with the team to manage daily routines effectively and maintain high standards of care. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment. A genuine drive to support children's learning and development through creative play-based activities.
This job is full-time, working Mondday-Friday all year round. The candidate must be flexabile between the hours of 730am-6pm.

Any offer of employment is subject to the receipt of a full clear DBS and two suitable references.
