We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing environment. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering children's growth and learning.
Duties
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental milestones.
Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment conducive to learning and play.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Support children's emotional and social development by encouraging independence and confidence.
Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play.
Keep accurate records of children's progress and share updates with parents regularly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and early childhood education standards.
Contribute to the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and special events as required.
Skills
Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments.
Strong understanding of child development principles and nursery curriculum planning.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
A caring attitude combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
