We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills while fostering a positive learning atmosphere for young children.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise and support children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times in accordance with safeguarding policies
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to organise programmes that meet the needs of individual children
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily activities
Assist with organising nursery resources and maintaining a clean, organised environment
Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures
Occasionally undertake driving duties to facilitate outings or collection of children when required
Requirements
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations and support junior staff
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications or early childhood education training recognised by relevant authorities is desirable
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children
Valid driving licence is preferred to assist with nursery outings or transportation needs
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
Organised, proactive, with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay: 24,420.00-30,498.08 per year
