Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while fostering a positive learning atmosphere for children aged from infancy to preschool age.

Duties

Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, rest periods, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards. Foster strong communication with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily experiences. Support the organisation of nursery routines, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a hygienic environment. Lead and motivate team members to ensure high standards of childcare and organisational efficiency. Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff or interns as required. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting. Drive nursery vehicles for outings or errands when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting. Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to oversee daily operations effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations. Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent are preferred. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards young children.
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 14.50-15.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
