Little sunflowers has been proudly running for 2 years now and now we are expanding into a nursery! As we grow we are looking for passionate, caring and dedicated early years practitioners to join our close knit team in January 2026.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our new nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early learning experiences. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities



Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and social skills Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Support children's emotional needs through effective communication and reassurance Follow our nurseries policies and procedures at all times Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and behaviour and create exceptional parent partnership Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices

Qualifications



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Level 3 or above Paediatric first aid trained desired Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
