We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Organise and lead group activities that encourage learning and social interaction
Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
Assist in the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary
Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment that promotes inclusion and diversity
Manage behaviour positively and constructively to promote good manners and respect among children
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable
Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous
Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or attending outings
Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
