Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment. Duties

Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times. Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns. Assist with daily housekeeping duties related to the nursery environment. Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards. Occasionally provide transportation for children as needed, requiring driving skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (full and relevant) Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting Good understanding of safeguarding and EYFS Strong communication skills Paediatric First Aid (preferred) Warm, caring, and reliable approach to working with children
