Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves fostering a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children, ensuring their wellbeing, and promoting positive relationships with families.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all areas. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team environment. Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff and supporting their professional development. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or above). Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children or resources as needed. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in early years education.
