Nursery Practitioner Essential Requirements

Great organisational skills with minimal need for close supervision, can-do attitude, positive energy, and real passion for helping children get the best possible start in life. Solid understanding of EYFS and the statutory framework, and experience in putting these to work to raise standards and meet Ofsted requirements. 2 years + experience in a nursery setting. Significant experience in Safeguarding and in developing and executing planning and progression of children's development. Numerate with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Reliable and mature, with strong people skills, self confident and able to motivate. Flexible and receptive to change. Nursery Practitioner Key responsibilities : Implement a high standard of safety, security and child protection, ensuring procedures are applied properly by all staff. Maintain strong parent / carer relationships, with positive ongoing engagement, resolving any issues that arise working with the right people in the team. Count within ratio as a key worker and deliver excellent operational practice when required, providing a good example to the peers. An additional language (French, Spanish, Italian in particular) is also welcomed.
