Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of each child. The Nursery Practitioner will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Duties

Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 2-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that support early childhood education and development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and encourage parental involvement. Manage daily routines, including meal times and play activities, ensuring that all children's needs are met. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Work as part of a team to create a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and families. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Knowledge of EYFS principles and practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment. Leadership skills to guide and support less experienced staff members. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
