Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in promoting their development and well-being.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in the nursery setting. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development, behaviour, and daily activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment that meets health and safety standards. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team atmosphere focused on the welfare of the children. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities. Support children's social skills by encouraging positive interactions among peers.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a minimum of Level 3 Childcare equivalent are required. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is necessary. Valid Paediatric First Aid Qualification and minimum Level 2 Safeguarding are required. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
