Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our nurturing team. The ideal candidate must have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for infants and toddlers, ensuring their developmental needs are met while fostering their growth and learning.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for babies. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development in line with early years frameworks. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, and nap times in a calm and organised manner. Work collaboratively with other practitioners to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's environment and educational offerings.

Skills

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Knowledge of early childhood education principles to effectively manage children's learning experiences. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. Ability to drive initiatives that improve the quality of care provided within the nursery setting. A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
