We are a small independent company. Looking for a nursery practitioner to maternity leave. We currently have two Pre-Schools in the area and Primrose Cottage is our first full daycare. We are a very small setting with a home from home environment.

We are looking for a practitioner who can work between 8am-5pm daily, week this will be all year round. We are looking for cover from May 2026.

The team is very small so a good team work ethic, knowledge of the EYFS and Safeguarding a must.

We are open 8am -5pm Monday-Friday. 51 weeks a year. Bank Holidays and Christmas week including Christmas Eve we are closed. We are currently open until 4pm this will change in September.

Responsibilities:

Your main job will be lunch time cover throughout the setting.

Assist with the day to day running of the setting encouraging good practice by the staff team with regard to individual and group work with the children.

Develop excellent communications with parents / guardians, encouraging them to participate in their child's progress and development.

Be responsible for creating a stimulating and attractive environment.

In conjunction with the Manager, ensure that all required standards, ratios and conditions of registration are maintained at all times within the room.

Assist with the preparation for OFSTED inspections and action any recommendations made by the Inspector, in consultation with the Manager.

Assist with setting up and packing away provision.

Have a good understanding on the EYFS and child development.

Undertake all training to make you a full and relevant nursery practitioner.

Assist with the organisation of and attend regular staff meetings and appropriate training sessions, which ensure staff are kept up-to-date on Company Policy and Procedures and OFSTED requirements.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
