Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in young children.
Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence among children.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety at all times.
Support children with special educational needs or disabilities by implementing tailored strategies and accommodations.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to share insights on each child's development and well-being.
Implement health and safety policies diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Assist with classroom management to create an organized and positive learning atmosphere.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques.
Skills
Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying roles.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Strong classroom management skills to foster a respectful and engaging environment.
Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively while maintaining a caring approach.
First aid certification to respond promptly to emergencies involving young children.
Experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and caregivers.
Demonstrated ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
