28,000 - 29,000 per year

45 hours per week (7am - 6pm shift pattern)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

to join our warm and friendly nursery team in New Eltham. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, and the ability to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for every child in our care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality childcare and education following the

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

. Act as a

key person

, carrying out observations, assessments, and planning tailored learning experiences. Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Ensure the smooth running of daily routines within the room and support children's individual needs. Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment at all times. Promote children's emotional wellbeing, communication, physical development, and early learning skills. Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times. Contribute to team meetings, training, and continuous professional development. Support children during mealtimes, toileting, and personal care where needed. Encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity through play-based learning.

Requirements

Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)

. Strong understanding of the

EYFS

and child development. Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A positive, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards childcare. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Reliability, punctuality, and strong organisational skills.
