Acorn Wood is a family orientated day nursery employing fully trained and qualified early years practitioners, ensuring professional high quality day care for children. Acorn Wood Day Nursery is ideally situated in a beautiful, homely farmhouse and converted barns surrounded by green fields and wildlife. The farmhouse and converted barns have been purposely renovated to provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years to grow and develop. Management provide many training opportunities, and professional development is very much encouraged. We require you to support a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery, providing a stimulating and caring environment within a play-based curriculum. You will be required to fulfil the key person role, working in partnership with parents. You will be required to follow the nursery's policies and procedures and support the nursery management with all aspects of safeguarding, protecting all children from harm and neglect. Applicants are required to have a level 3 qualification in early years and be an enthusiastic and positive member of a very dedicated team. In line with our duty to safeguard children and our safer recruitment policy the applicant must have a current DBS enhanced check issued within the last 12 months or be prepared to apply for a new DBS.

The position is for a full or part-time role within the Nursery, start date can be flexible for the right candidate. We have a very low staff turnover and pride ourselves on looking after our practitioners. Six of our practitioners have been with us for over 20 years and many more for over 10 years. We are looking to employ a further member of staff due to the increasing demand in places within the nursery.
