About the role

We are looking for a fun, motivated and enthusiastic team member to join us working with children aged 2-5 years old.

The successful candidate will provide stimulating experiences for children. They will work as part of a team of 5 staff providing care from 8am 4pm or 10am- 6 pm Monday - Friday. We will consider an enthusiastic apprentice.

Tasks and responsibilities

Provide the highest quality learning experiences for children Modelling best practice at all times Follow policies & procedures to ensure safety of all children Implement the daily routine Contribute to and follow long term and short-term plan. Ensure all your own weekly planning is carried out and evaluated Complete children's learning journals on a weekly basis Contribute to your room self-evaluation on an ongoing basis Maintain a safe and stimulating environment at all times Ensure completion of room paperwork e.g. daily folder, risk assessments, personal plans, medicine forms, accident forms etc. Share training with other staff to improve practice. Attend staff training during and out with nursery hours. Participate in team building exercises.
What we need from you

All applicants must have SVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent childcare qualification. It is important that applications have a sound knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three, and has experience using Building the Ambition and GIRFEC to plan for children's wellbeing. All applicants must be able to register with Scottish Social Services Council and have a PVG prior to starting.
