Job Description

We are looking for a qualified nursery practitioners with experience of working in an early years setting to join our team at Growing Up Green. Applicants should have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted welfare requirements. You will be required to demonstrate enthusiasm and creativity with regard to supporting children's learning. You will be required to have a thorough knowledge of safeguarding requirements and procedures and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You should have the ability to build strong partnerships with adults, parents and children.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a team to support the children in their care. They will need to be able to use their own initiative, be creative in their thinking and be nurturing in their manner.

The successful candidate will be 'Key Person' to a group of children which involves completing paperwork and planning individual children's learning. You will work within the setting's policies and procedures including safeguarding, working with outside agencies and will be a supportive team member.

Joining bonus will be paid to candidates after they have successfully completed three months of their six months probation period.

The successful candidate will be asked to apply for enhanced disclosure certificate from DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).

You would need to hold a Level 3 in childcare or a level 2, but be willing to work towards a level 3 in childcare.

The nursery is pro-active in developing the potential of our staff through in-house and other training.

Job Type: Full-time or 40 hours Monday-Friday or possibility of 32 hours per week

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff required to wear face masks around the setting the setting and to wash/ sanitise hands regularly throughout the day.

Pay: 26,000.00-29,000.00 per year
