We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in a nurturing and safe environment. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to create engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young children.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that support early childhood development
Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and explore
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Support children's emotional needs through effective communication and reassurance
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Assist with the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary
Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements
Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, management, and leadership within the nursery setting
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
Knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable
Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous
Valid driving licence is preferred for assisting with outings or transportation needs
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
