We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a vibrant nursery setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and providing exceptional care to young children.
Duties & requirements:
Childcare & Learning
Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Support children's learning and development, including speech, language, physical, emotional, and social skills.
Observe, assess, and record each child's progress, identifying areas where extra support may be needed.
Safeguarding & Welfare
Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
Promote positive behaviour and manage routines such as meals, toileting, and rest times.
Respond appropriately to accidents, incidents, and emergencies.
Partnership with Families
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and daily activities.
Offer advice and support to parents regarding children's development and well-being.
Teamwork & Professionalism
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high standard of care and education.
Contribute to staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development.
Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality is respected.
Compliance
Follow nursery policies, including safeguarding, health & safety, and equal opportunities.
Adhere to Ofsted and local authority standards for early years provision.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 13.00-18.00 per hour
