Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. Your leadership and management skills will be essential in guiding both children and fellow staff members to ensure the highest standards of care and education.

Duties



Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment, sharing best practices and supporting one another in daily tasks. Conduct regular assessments of children's development, documenting progress and planning next steps in their learning journey. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies regarding health, safety, and child protection. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Requirements



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide a team of practitioners. Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm. Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between settings if required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
