Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage various tasks while supporting the overall development of children in our care.
Working shifts available -
Monday - Friday 8.30AM - 3.30PM
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Support children in their learning experiences through play-based activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
Monitor children's behaviour and provide guidance as needed to foster positive interactions.
Help manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children.
Proficient communication skills in English to interact effectively with children and parents.
A willingness to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and staff.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised approach.
A clean DBS which is on the update service will be required.
