We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Preschool Practitioner to support daily activities within a nurturing early years environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of child development, a passion for working with young children, and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning space. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support children's learning and development, work collaboratively with a dedicated early years team, and maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and wellbeing. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant early years qualifications and practical experience in a preschool or childcare setting.
Duties

Support and supervise the daily operation of the preschool, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organised learning environment for all children
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to support children's learning and development
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing updates with colleagues and parents/carers as appropriate
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain consistent routines, positive behaviour management, and high standards of care
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene standards are met at all times
Prepare learning spaces at the start of each session and carry out physical duties to set up and pack away equipment, furniture, and resources, as the preschool operates from a shared hall
Support children's personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and mealtimes, while promoting independence
Communicate effectively with parents/carers, responding to questions or concerns in a professional and supportive manner
Assist with maintaining resources, checking equipment, and ensuring the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with young children in an early years or childcare setting and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or a related field is required, or the candidate must be actively working towards achieving one. Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices is desirable.
