At The Beehive, play islearning and you must be able to interact, role-play and be a 'play-person' yourself, in order to meet the needs of every child!
You will work closely with the Room Leader and Nursery Management Team to create a warm, stimulating, and nurturing space where every child feels valued.

Overview of the Role



As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

Create a welcoming, inclusive and caring environment for children and their families. Act as Key Person for a group of children. Provide high-quality childcare and learning experiences for children under five, planning a wide range of engaging and age-appropriate activities that reflect the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Characteristics of Effective Learning. Support children's personal care routines, observe and document their learning journeys, and plan next steps for their development. Build strong, positive partnerships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress through daily communication, termly updates, and parent meetings. Work collaboratively with colleagues, including the SENCo and external agencies, to support all children, including those with additional needs. Promote an environment that values diversity and inclusion, ensuring every child feels recognised and respected. Follow all nursery policies, including those for safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and equality of opportunity. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation, participating in rota duties and ensuring resources are well cared for. Attend team meetings, training sessions, supervisions, and nursery events, contributing ideas and supporting the ongoing development of the setting. Ensure mealtimes are happy, social occasions that encourage good manners and conversation. Uphold the nursery's high standards at all times, both within and outside of working hours.

About You



A passion for Early Years and a commitment to delivering exceptional care is essential. A love of the great outdoors-we go out in all weathers! Experience working with children under 5 years old is desirable, especially with babies, but we also welcome applications from those starting their childcare career--we can provide full training and support. A Level 3 (or working towards) full and relevant childcare qualification is preferred.

Hours:

Up to 42 hours per week between 7.30am-6.15pm.

Pay

-Dependent upon the level of experience and qualification.

Full-time staff

can choose to work 4 long days with one regular weekday off!

Essential Requirements (Training Provided if Needed)



Enhanced DBS check (clean record required) Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and Allergy Awareness Paediatric First Aid Certificate Child Protection, Prevent and FGM Training
