Role: Early Years Level 3 Practitioner

Location: Thurton Nursery, Thurton

Salary: 13.50 - 14.50 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Contract/Hours: Permanent/Full-time 38 hours

Thurton Nursery is a small family run nursery in the heart of Thurton, providing all year-round childcare to children living in the surrounding areas. The nursery is open Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm for up to 11 babies and 22 pre-schoolers.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of babies and children and expect our staff, students, and volunteers to all share this commitment. To this end, you may be required to undergo pre-employment checks.

Due to an exciting expansion of our nursery, we are looking to recruit a qualified Nursery Practitioner who has recent experience working in an Early Years setting. A Level 3 qualification in Early Years is essential.

As Nursery Practitioner you will work as part of a small team to provide an enabling environment full of opportunities that are inspired and led by the children's own individual interests and needs. You will have recent experience working in an Early Years setting and have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will also have experience being a Key Person to a small group of children.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to working in partnership with our parents and as part of a team.

Previous experience using Tapestry is preferable, however, training will be provided, and applicants must have a minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy if qualified after September 2014.

This position comes with fantastic training opportunities and would be ideal for somebody who wants grow their skills and knowledge.
