We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in fostering positive relationships and supporting the development of each child in your care.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring a safe and organised environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records to track progress.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team atmosphere and share best practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting to ensure a hygienic environment.
Skills
Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
Strong leadership abilities to manage groups of children and support their learning experiences.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning and development.
A nurturing attitude towards children, demonstrating patience and understanding.
Capability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
Satisfactory references will be required prior to employment commencing in line with Statutory Framework and Safer Recruitment policies.
