We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
Collaborate with colleagues to organise programmes that meet the needs of all children.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Lead small groups of children during activities, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and training where appropriate.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
Strong management and leadership abilities to organise activities and oversee junior staff members.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
Experience with nursery management or leadership roles is advantageous.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities.
