Busy Bees Kindergarten is based in Manningtree and is an independent setting who cares for children aged from 6 months to 5 years.

We are looking for a qualified educator with a suitable Level 2 or Level 3 in Early years, or equivalent. This position is currently working within our 2-3 aged room.

The ideal candidate will be use to working in a child-led setting with a strong knowledge around loose part play, or have a strong passion to learn. You must have a love of childcare and want to work in a setting that is always evolving. The children and staff are at the centre of everything we do. If you enjoy creating new and exciting environments that you can be proud of.

The current position available is working 4 days a week with the potential to work more in the future if desired, and hours are available. This position is currently 41 weeks a year which will reduce to 40 weeks a year from September 2026.

Closures over the year:

41 week contract:

1 week February half term

1 week Easter half term

1 week May/June

5 weeks during the summer holidays

1 week October

1-2 weeks December/January

Plus all Bank holiday's off

From September 2026 we will be open term time plus 2 additional weeks, these will be 1 week at Easter and 1 week at the end of July.

Monthly bonuses for attendance and CPD training equalling up to 600 extra a year.

All applicants will complete a DBS and need to pass our safer recruitment process.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate invitations for children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to thrive.
- Provide individualised care and support to meet the needs of each child.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional well-being and social development.
- Support children with personal care tasks, such as feeding, toileting, and dressing, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment.
- Previous experience working in an early years setting or a relevant childcare qualification is preferred.
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and understanding of child development principles.
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences for young children.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
