We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans and behavioural guidance
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to organise activities, outings, and special events
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Manage the daily organisation of the nursery or childcare setting, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior staff or trainees when required
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the childcare environment through feedback and innovation
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare management
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and manage a team effectively
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are preferred
Experience with managing behaviour and supporting children's individual development needs
Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or transporting children when necessary
