Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive and develop.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment. Support children's social and emotional development through effective communication and guidance. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills

Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team effectively. Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues alike. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or excursions.
