Job Description
Purpose of the Job
To work as part of the setting team, support the manager in providing safe, high-quality education and care for children aged between (0-5 years). To fulfil legal and statutory requirements, contribute to and implement provisions policies; in addition to acting as a key worker for a group of children and communicating progress on a regular basis with their parents/carers.
Main Duties
To ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, and safety procedures are implemented at all times. To lead on setting activities and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children. To work closely with the children, other members of staff and parents. To help ensure there is a good, happy, and positive atmosphere at all times. Take time to listen and respond to children, encourage participation, and support them in their development. To maintain equality of opportunity for all children within the provision. To have a basic understanding of the curriculum for non-maintained settings experience delivering flying start Experience running a department within a day nursery
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 12.70 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
