We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner/Room Leader to join our vibrant childcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education and have experience working with young children in a nursery setting. As the Nursery Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development and well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursery room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and ensure the needs of each child are met.
Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and leadership to foster professional development.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's programme, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all children.
Collaborate with parents to discuss their child's development, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
Requirements
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Excellent leadership abilities to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding towards children's needs.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
